Meet Our Veterinary Health Care Team

Dr. Debra Bohnke – Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Bohnke decided to be a veterinarian when she was 9 years old. She pursued her dream through high school internships and college employment, through veterinary school and back home to Tucson. Dr. Bohnke graduated from Colorado State University in 1991. She has been practicing in Arizona ever since. Her extensive experience in Arizona makes her very aware of the health challenges faced by our Arizona pets such as Valley Fever, Rattlesnake Bite, and Tick Fever. Dr. Bohnke stays abreast of veterinary technology and medicine through journals, on-line bulletin boards and over 35 hours of continuing education lectures annually.

In her free time, Dr.Bohnke enjoys scuba diving, sci fi and historical fiction books, Medieval reenactment, Cowboy Action target shooting, and Best Of All—her son Celyn.

Dr. Beth Mayer

Relief Veterinarian
Dr. Beth stays current in veterinary practice through use of an on-line veterinary specialty consultation service, and by completing numerous continuing education seminars every year. She finds it deeply satisfying to be part of a veterinary team practicing with the level of compassion and quality she has found at Cimarron Animal Hospital.

Rachel MacDaniels

Business Administrator
Rachel MacDaniels is the newest member to join our team. She brings years of experience in Office Administration & Client Services. Rachel has a home filled with love, which includes her awesome husband Tom, three beautiful daughters, Alyssa, Nikki, &Brandee, as well as her pet kids..
